Today is my mom’s birthday! Wishing a happy day to the woman who really can do it all. This post is dedicated to her; she has a green thumb, which sadly I did not inherit — but, she did bequeath her love of gardening and flowers to me. I figure somewhere within me there must be that tender touch that plant life requires, so I’ll just keep on trying (sorry to all the unlucky plants previously left in the deadly wake of my learning curve). Andrew Zuckerman’s photos are everything one could want as far as flora goes: stunningly detailed, perfectly composed, exquisitely balanced in color. Maybe even better than the real thing. These photos also come in a book, which I’m going to buy.

So cheers to you, mom! I love you so much.

And…this video is flower porn at its finest. Must see.

I too have a black thumb, despite loving plants so very very much. These photos are stunning! Great find. And a very happy birthday to your mother! :)
