Throughout this work week, I have felt such a vast array of emotions. I’ve been inspired, exhausted, content, disappointed, depressed, grateful…it’s been a bipolar kind of week, in all honesty. I’m pretty worn out. Having been sick for the past couple weeks, I haven’t had a chance to fully recover while working nonstop. This picture of the sea really sums how I’m feeling: it’s sink or swim. Today I feel like I’m gasping for air, while yesterday I felt like I was drowning…tomorrow I’ll probably feel buoyed up by the promise of Saturday and Sunday. Let’s hope. Just trying to keep my head above water. Alright, I’m done with the ocean references. Couldn’t help myself there.

I can’t wait to sleep lots this weekend…and hopefully see some sunshine and get fresh air.

You can totally do it, Amy! If you feel like you’re drowning, stop for a moment, take a look around and realise that it’s all good… I try to do this sometimes when I start to panic about what anything and everything. Hope it helps!

thanks, jo! you’re totally right…I need to not let the bad stuff swallow me up and acknowledge the good more frequently! :)

Dear lady, I hear that. When I get those moments where I feel like I’m drowning, I’ve started to tell myself I only have to be present here, in this moment, today. Just today. I’m surprised by how much that relieves the pressure to figure out tomorrow or next week or the next five years. xo
