Hey there! It’s nice to finally be back! Well…we moved over the past weekend, are are now living in West Seattle – we LOVE it over here. It has a small town, beachy feel…and there are tons of great little shops, bakeries and restaurants in walking distance. Settling in happened really naturally and easily, which is always pleasant. I’ve loved every second of decorating the new place – it actually looks really similar to the style of the photo above (although we don’t have a a beautifully battered Chesterfield)…lots of black and white with touches of green, and shades of blue for a really tranquil feel. I’m so happy to have white walls again; everything feels more open and clean.
The view here is of Monomy Shoals in Massachusetts – it was taken from a biplane – aren’t the colors and natural patterns in the water exquisite?
I just wanted to mention a couple little things changing on the blog too; I’ve had some time to think during my break, and I want to reconfigure things around here to keep this blog manageable and true to who I am. So from now on, ‘On the Table’ will still be around, but it isn’t going to be a weekly feature anymore. With the TMJ, it’s been tough to try and create meals that aren’t all mush, because I really can’t eat them. So that will be a more sporadic column, along with my ‘Musings’ feature. I always want to make sure those posts are coming from the heart, and I feel that I’ve done a really good job of that thus far. I don’t want ‘Musings’ to ever become forced when I’m not having a very insightful week.
You know, I’ve never been really good at sticking to routines when it comes to blogging, which I’m sheepish to admit. I like to blog in a more organic way, as inspiration hits…which is usually in ebbs and flows as most things in life are. Instead of trying to fight it, I think I’ll work with it – why not?
I hope you guys are cool with the changes to come. I’m excited to get back into the swing of things and share some inspiration! I’ve got some more awesome people coming up for ‘Objets de Valeur’, so stay tuned! And thanks again for hanging in there while I took some time off. :)

@ Ashely – aw, thank you SO much, Ashley! your sweet comment made my day :) completely agree with wanting to frame the second photo – the colors are incredible!
